To determine interparticle interactions of these carbonaceous solids in water, interfacial energies were determined on the basis of surface chemistries characterized by contact angle and ζ potential measurements.
The objective was to study the effect of solid concentration, ash content, pH, and temperature on the rheology of CWS. It was found that CWS exhibits pseudoplastic behavior.
